VT fuel dealers head to the Statehouse February 3, 2023
These guys are absolute heroes- amazing, hard-working Vermonters providing heat, support and jobs to our families and communities for generations. Please check this out. Local fuel dealers around Vermont presented testimony today in Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy. Their stories, wisdom and dedication to keeping Vermonters warm is admirable and appreciated. With weather like this - we can all understand the importance and necessity of the services they offer. Please reach out to the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy and your local legislators and demand they vote NO on S.5 - the new Clean Heat Standard - now called the Affordable Heat Act which is actually the Unaffordable Heat Act. Julie Moore - Secretary of agency of natural resources presented testimony that this would be at .70 cents more per gallon for heating fuel. This is an unfair attack on the people of Vermont- the fuel dealers and the consumers both. The first part of this video really lays out all the problems of this bill.
